Had such a good discussion around this paper in grad prosem today– I would highly recommend it. The students were profoundly relieved to have these struggles normalized and be able to discuss them openly and brainstorm strategies for a happier more sustainable academic life.

Opinion | Jimmy Carter’s Presidency Was Not What You Think (Gift Article) Jimmy Carter was probably the most intelligent, hard-working and decent man to have occupied the Oval Office in the 20th century.

Loved this. And up yours to everyone in the press who pigeon-holed him as a simple peanut farmer. ICYMI he was a NUCLEAR ENGINEER. (Who happened to own a peanut farm.) www.nytimes.com/2023/02/20/o...

The Carter Center | Waging Peace, Fighting Disease & Building Hope The Carter Center is a nongovernmental organization that helps to improve lives by resolving conflicts; advancing democracy and preventing diseases.

I don’t have adequate words to describe the unbelievably positive impact that Jimmy Carter had on the world. Carter truly saw our planet as a village from his perspective as a citizen and friend to all; he truly wanted to leave the world and its inhabitants better than how he found it and them.

I lost my child to Flu. Trust me, you need a shot. Once reality set in, I became angry and wanted some answers. I felt cheated of the opportunity to protect my daughter

The flu vaccine is an important vaccine. There is no reason to skip or downplay this vaccine because polio or meningitis might be more serious. It still saves lives.

A comic called "What City Pigeons Talk About". Two city pigeons are standing on the sidewalk. One says "Hey, do you ever think about the past?" The other says "The past?"

A comic called "What City Pigeons Talk About". Two city pigeons are standing on the sidewalk. One says "Hey, do you ever think about the past?" The other says "The past?"

A closeup of the first pigeon. They say "Yeah - do you ever think about where we came from? Sometimes I forget that city pigeons are domestic animals."

A closeup of the first pigeon. They say "Yeah - do you ever think about where we came from? Sometimes I forget that city pigeons are domestic animals."

A hand reaches out to three wild pigeons. The narrator pigeon says "Humans domesticated us many millennia ago in the Middle East. We provided meat, feces used for fertilizer, and much more." There are two very fancy pigeon breeds. "Over time, people split us into hundreds of pure breeds - some quite elaborate! Kings and queens proudly kept pigeons, and colonists spread us worldwide."

A closeup again of the first pigeon, who says, "But we fell out of fashion. Now we peck at the dusty concrete, our past glory all but forgotten. Do you ever think about that?"
