I've been busy working on Beat Bots and implementing features based on player feedback from GDLX!

Powered tiles now give off electrical particles, locked tiles now have an overlay to distinguish them from editable tiles, and there is now a highlight shown when hovering over an editable tile 🎨

I love them most when they co-operate with my recording attempts! I'm not sure they understand the concept of a microphone though 🤔

I got a couple of clean baas, pretty hard to work around the nearby dual carriageway though!

This was a fun one to make! A lot of the process was finding interesting ways to make unusual sounds out of liquid. I bought a massive syringe which helped a lot! Phase Plant's granular engine came in handy for various sounds too!

I still have flashbacks to the first movie, which introduced a new shoehorned reference to Mario music every couple of minutes to a point of becoming really frustrating!!

Learnings from GDLX:
-Level 8 of Beat Bots is proportionally too difficult compared to other levels
-There exists a young child in Surrey who is an absolute prodigy at solving puzzle games. This kid came along and zoomed through the game faster than any of the adults 🤯

Milton Jones is the winner for British one liner comedians in my eyes!

My mind goes to Sonic Heroes!

A Sennheiser ME66 is a good shotgun mic that goes pretty cheap second hand, and has low noise which is important for quiet sounds. The Rode NTG series is popular too. I wouldn't say it's vital to get 32 bit. Zoom H6 is a good recorder. And iZotope RX is very useful for cleaning up recordings!
