I have been Professor Emerita since March 1. I have been travelling, playing table tennis and only thinking about research in short bursts. But I think I will get back to it now that autumn is coming. Chalmers commisioned a journalist to write an article about me.

The magic of the macro lens. New worlds open up! The first two are "chokladblommar", cosmos atrosanguineus -- what a great Latin name! The third one is my geranium.

Lovely lichen by the sea and in trees on my usual walk. I enjoyed watching the terns dive too. Living by the sea is a delight.

Belvedere House itself can be glimpsed behind the dancing trees. It is being renovated so we could not see the inside. But the garden was glorious!!

In Sligo, there is amazing scenery pretty much wherever you turn. This is across from the devils' chimney waterfall. It would be even better if there were native trees on the slopes where the sheep currently are.

Excellent trees and lichens at Belvedere House near Mullingar. Definitely worth another visit.
