Aquarium Friday 🦑, and I got to see 3 of my favorite aquatic noodles — Wilson the anaconda, and Thomas and Marie the moray eels.

We got to take the Streamflow Duration Assessment Method training in North Carolina this week!

Got some beautiful spring weather and met a lot of critters 🧪🌱🐸🦎

Many of us don’t work directly in space science, but we were inspired to become scientists by NASA. Today was an inspirational day, and I hope Artemis II galvanizes the public to recognize the importance of having a strong science program for our identity, not to mention our security and prosperity.

Aquarium Friday! The new fiddler rays got names today — Tasman, pictured here spy-hopping to see her visitors, and Viola, who’s down with her face in a vent. 🦑

That is “my Clean Water Act coworkers,” or “my fellow Clean Water Act employees.” I am certainly not in charge of them.

In the crossover event of the century, my Clean Water Act employees came to the Aquarium yesterday! They had lots of questions about permitting and filtration 🦑😉❤️

It’s always a blast to visit at different times of the week. Apparently, one of the starfish in with Tako had been given a submarine…

We got to go to the Sea Rovers’ International Ocean Clinic today! Such a treat! 🦑

When we list all the sharks in the aquarium, these chain dogfish are often forgotten. But boy are they pretty — and local!

You keep doing you, Marine Alligator Gar 😎👍

Indeed, Alligator Gars (and several other gar species) can live in full saltwater! This lives full-time in a marine exhibit with tarpon, sharks, and a sea turtle!

The Aquarium got some new, albeit hard to photograph, residents recently! 🦑

These tropical babies are Gulf Stream orphans. They were stranded in New England waters as temperatures dropped, then found and brought to us!

I’m listening to a NASA town hall about the new NISAR satellite. So exciting.

I was recently reminded that these satellite programs are a prime example of public goods. A successful launch, at a time when many public goods are under attack, feels great.

Government exists to provide services! 🧪
