I mean look, the "real" SNK died ages ago. Buying this thing ain't gonna bring them back, and I highly doubt spending money on this thing is gonna keep the current version of SNK alive before their shitty owners close the doors anyway because it wasn't giving them right amount of reputation-washing.

They might have tweaked the contrast and saturation a bit, but once the 4K comes out next month, I don’t think there will be that big of a video quality difference (other than a better encode) but I expect the audio to huge jump. The audio is weakest part of the old Blu-ray.
Now that I’m home, whipping out the old Blu-ray and checking some scenes, there’s no extra dynamic range or new detail as far as I can tell in the new 4K remaster. The movie was shot on the Sony F23 and has digital VFX in nearly every shot so there’s basically nothing for the source to add.
BTW, David Edelstein sucked when he wrote this and has always sucked.
Speed Racer was fantastic to see in IMAX again, it was an IMAX movie on a weeknight and the room was almost 100% full which is amazing to see, also randomly here's David Edelstein's review of Speed Racer

Noah and Sydney are leading. So is Noah Amuro? Then who is Sydney, Sayla? Fraw Bow? This is bad.
