Coming up on the two year anniversary of the health journey that almost killed me twice. Stopped drinking around the same time, and the 6 months of extreme mental health side effects I dealt with were a tunnel with almost no friends left on the other side. When they lift your nose and lip far enough out of the way to use screwdrivers you look like you lost a boxing match.

Been a pretty tough week, Monday morning my surgical consult turned into full on surgery, with only lidocaine. I’ll spare you the details but I learned even more that we can do anything we set our minds to. The alternative was waiting months for OR time, so I had to choose, and I’m glad I did.

#3DPrinting folx: what would your filament choice be out of commonly available filaments if your primary design consideration is layer adhesion and shear strength? I’m leaning towards PA6-GF as a cost/benefit vs CF but would love to hear your thoughts.

Went out to Tanto National Forest this evening and took a shot of my friend’s truck at f1.4 on my iPhone 16, it’s pretty amazing you can use it as very slow night vision to find something in the dark! I couldn’t see where the truck ended and mountains began with my eyes.
