This is why over the last year, we’ve been working together to produce a 10-point Manifesto for Change that includes practical, evidence-based policies that can transform the way we respond to hate.

📈 The past decade has seen spiralling levels of hate crime. Official stats show incidents have more than tripled in England & Wales. With just 1 in 4 victims reporting incidents, we know that this is the tip of the iceberg.

Yet, the government hasn’t released a Hate Crime Action Plan since 2016.

One year on - reflecting on the UK's racist riots As we mark one year since the tragic murder of Alice, Elsie, and Bebe at a children’s dance class in Southport, our thoughts are with their families as they continue to grieve.

As we mark one year since the tragic murder of Alice, Elsie, and Bebe at a children’s dance class in Southport, our thoughts are with their families as they continue to grieve.

We reflect on how what followed became, for many, a moment of national reckoning 💭

The Gaza crisis demands a humanitarian reckoning | Humanitarian Practice Network We cannot afford to give up on Gaza – nor on the principles and responsibilities that define humanitarianism itself.

💡 Excellent piece by our Trustee Sherine El Taraboulsi-McCarthy on Gaza & the reckoning between humanitarianism & protection

"We must rethink the role of international and local humanitarian actors in providing protection without abrogating the fundamental responsibility of states to provide it."

💭 The broader challenge remains: mass atrocity crimes are becoming a systematic feature of modern malign statecraft, used deliberately to destroy, displace & entrench power.

As this kind of violence increasingly shapes geopolitical realities, the UK must update its approach accordingly.

She noted that the UK's approach to atrocity prevention has not been updated since 2019, despite the increasing use of identity-based atrocity violence against civilians.

✅ FCDO Minister @catherinewestmp.bsky.social acknowledged the concern & committed to taking the issue forward - a welcome step.

Gaza: Starvation or Gunfire - This is Not a Humanitarian Response - occupied Palestinian territory News and Press Release in English on occupied Palestinian territory about Food and Nutrition and Protection and Human Rights; published on 1 Jul 2025 by ACPP, ACRI and 61ount other organizations

For over three months Israel deliberately blocked life-saving supplies. It controls who eats, who moves & who survives.

Palestinians are starving. Many are killed in line.

The world is watching.

We've joined 200+ organisations to demand an end to this deadly scheme.

The new Israeli-US backed distribution scheme forces Palestinians in Gaza into militarised zones just to access food.

Food is now fenced, scanned and weaponised. This is not humanitarian aid.

It is a system of forced displacement, surveillance, and mass violence, disguised as relief.
