APS global summit 26 was so much fun. Had a great time presenting my research and talking with so many smart and talented people from the biological physics community! Also, Denver was such a delight :)
We are excited to release our first official article, "Physics and Biology - A Stable Marriage?" where @akshitg.bsky.social talks about his research, his journey in academia, and insights into theoretical biology. Read it using the link below!

Unlike random ecosystems, tumor–immune interactions form two cooperative sub-communities that inhibit each other like opposing teams. Using a disordered generalized Lotka–Volterra framework, we show how this ecosystem leads to various tumor–immune phases and how heterogeneity enables coexistence.
A bit late to post but happy to announce the first preprint coming out of my master's research at the Center for Theoretical Biological Physics at Northeastern University. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...
Reading some of the biology heavy reviews about dynamics in tumor microenvironment where almost everything supports the tumor eventually makes me think that these cancer cells are smarter than a whole bunch of humans.

We aim to bridge the gap between publication and communication of new science by hosting talks by early-career researchers that exemplify the state of the art in their fields and give people a flavour of how theories in biology are crafted. Explore these themes at fishersfishes.github.io
We are Fisher's Fishes, a global society of theoretical biologists for researchers who explore living systems through quantitative and conceptual lenses. We aim to create a space where these ideas can be explored, developed, and refined in tight coupling with experiments.
Had a fantastic time presenting my research at MathOnco25. Looking forward to IMO workshop! @mathonco.bsky.social

@akilan-r.bsky.social
I was recently invited by a cool student initiative from IISER in India @fishersfishes.bsky.social (fishersfishes.github.io) to talk about networks. I conveyed to undergraduates my ideas for how ecology, evolution and their interplay should be understood in light of biological system properties.
Excited to start my Master's thesis under the supervision of Professor Herbert Levine and Professor Mohit Kumar Jolly at the Center for Theoretical Biological Physics at Northeastern University in the beautiful city of Boston.
Get in touch if you're around and want to discuss theory in biology
Had a nice time exploring genomics, big data and fancy Bayesian Networks which still blow my mind because of how cool and inferable they are and the vast amount of theory there is behind them. Hope I get to build and invent frameworks half cool as them in future 👍
