According to the most recent Global Gender Gap report published by the WEF, the Netherlands has dropped from 28th to 43rd place in the rankings. The low ranking is mostly due to only two of the index’s metrics – economic and political representation.

Mmmh. Yes, Jetten/D66 had a great election and is the largest (mid size) party.
But at the same time far right cemented its vote share, just shared across more parties than Wilders/PVV.
Important nuance for the 🇳🇱 elections.

When the dust settles after Dutch elections, reflections will come on political dynamics, but it is also a time to reflect on the role of:
- talk shows
- stop on online ads
- influencer content on Insta and TikTok
- platform fragmentation
- dynamics of polls
- AI content and slob

Dat de positieve campagne van D66 gewerkt heeft is eigenlijk niet verrassend. Kiezers van links tot rechts hebben de voorkeur dat hun partijleider positieve emoties gebruikt en minder negatieve emoties. De data hieronder uit drie surveys laten dit zien (grootste partijen op dat moment). [1/2]
Er wordt nu steeds gesproken over de grootste partij die het voortouw zou mogen nemen in de formatie. Dat is zwaar aangezet, in het verleden is een verkenner benoemd op voordracht van de grootste partij. Maar dat is een gebruik, geen regel. Als een (ruime) meerderheid iets anders wil, kan dat.

Latest Dutch polls show PVV still ahead, followed by CDA and GL-PvdA. D66 made gains, mostly over the last month or so. Still, many voters are still uncertain about their vote choice: between 48% and 83% according to Verian and Ipsos I&O.
