committed a faux pas, or was rude somehow, and i just had zero idea that i had done so or that such a thing was even considered rude... and i can make active attempts to rectify my behavior but i still end up "tripping" often because it just takes lots of active concious effort to dodge these

my clear disclaimer is being socially inept =/= autism, but in my experience it is pretty clear when i am getting something wrong, i might get a weird response from somebody in an interaction that feels completely out of place and if i end up asking them what happened it mgiht end up that i
