I don't mind the blatant ripoffery or stupidity of THRASH. I often celebrate those things on @genrevision.com! But I don't celebrate THRASH's vapid characters, utter lack of impact, or mishandled attempts at heart and humor. You're better off watching BAIT 3D or the much more focused CRAWL.

Call us the greatest sinners ever to walk God's earth, but Satan's boys we could never be!
We continue Sacrilicious Month with Ken Russell's THE DEVILS, one of the most controversial films ever made. You still can't see the true cut of this masterpiece. genrevision.com/posts/ken-ru...
What actor/actress is great in everything?
We did a whole month at @genrevision.com celebrating Bill Paxton: TWISTER, CLUB DREAD, A SIMPLE PLAN, and FRAILTY. Here's our FRAILTY episode since he also (expertly) directed that.
I miss Paxton so damn much. RIP genrevision.com/posts/frailt...

Happy Easter! We're kicking off Sacrilicious Month, an entire month of naughty and blasphemous movies.
Our first episode is a showdown that spun our heads around. It's the sequel so nice, they filmed it twice!

We're covering the BFI cut of THE DEVILS next week for Sacrilicious Month at @genrevision.com, but check out what looks to be the US cut on Shudder!
Long live the King of Filth. Celebrate John Waters with our @genrevision.com episode on his mainstream masterpiece, SERIAL MOM.

Still one of my favorite @genrevision.com matchups of all time, the Showdown of the Shapes. genrevision.com/posts/202-cu...
Even @realgdt.bsky.social can't get THE DEVILS properly released, let alone restored!
Hopefully, our @genrevision.com magic will work once again and the release of our upcoming episode will trigger news of this cinematic wrong done right.
We just recorded our discussion on another Paul Schrader horror movie for this Sunday's @genrevision.com episode and we couldn't help but give a nod to CAT PEOPLE.
Check out our versus episode on this original classic and a one-of-a-kind remake. genrevision.com/posts/cat-pe...

We close out Days of Future Past Month with a trip to the Big Apple, courtesy of John Carpenter's ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK.
It's a first watch for @travisnewton.bsky.social! Was he charmed by Snake Plissken? Or did he choose the option to terminate and be cremated on the premises?

Star Trek fans are worried about the future of the franchise, and they're right to worry. @drewdietsch.bsky.social argues that the franchise has a tough question to answer: What even is #StarTrek anymore?
Today for our Premium Subscribers on Patreon, we're having a chat about the future of #StarTrek, which is in a very odd spot right now for lots of reasons. #StarWars is in a similar place as well, so that comes up too!

My Letterboxd review of ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK 🧡 John Carpenter takes a political sci-fi bent to Sergio Leone antihero Westerns and blends it with George Romero's doomsday survival horror. What comes out is a cult classic unlike any other. An essential Vibes movie.
Travis' Letterboxd review of ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK ⭐⭐⭐⭐🧡 Immaculate vibes. A low-frequency thrum that builds and builds to a great ending.
We're closing out Days of Future Past month at @genrevision.com and we couldn't be going out on a higher note.
Thrilled to chat up this classic with @travisnewton.bsky.social on his first watch ever.
This is a great episode. A coked up, sweaty Predator sequel vs a heart eating thing that looks like a cross between a xenomorph, the Acolyte stranger mask and venom
Both of these movies are red hot bangers
Days of Future Past continues this month with one of our fan-favorite versus episodes!
PREDATOR 2 vs. SPLIT SECOND asks: which "future cop vs. supermonster" sci-fi action flick hits the target?
One of our most evenly matched showdowns in the Thunderdome.

Abso-friggin-lutely. Peter Benchley’s novel is a tawdry beach read about a cop being emasculated from all sides, and the shark is barely more than a huge metaphorical penis that dwarfs its protagonist.
The movie is an ENORMOUS upgrade.
We doubt TWISTED PAIR was the inspiration for Michael B. Jordan’s award-winning performances in SINNERS. But TWISTED PAIR certainly inspired us to have a good time! #neilbreen
