the wilburton neighbourhood of bellevue, WA is getting MASSIVE transit-oriented development soon, but the streets... aren't super friendly. let's fix that~!
hehehe..... hehehehehehe.............
ignore my dirty ass room i was in the middle of cleaning it so things got knocked over ,,
in love with this fit...
this is great news!
but the practice of assigning a top-level line identity to each branch is breaking under complexity. i got thinking about a different way to classify and group services in a network like this one.
a little thread, for old times' sake
1/7
if anyone i talk to has signal and would rather talk on there, lmk! i just installed it
playing with my crayons at the dinner table...... seattle BRT
mountains-to-sound greenway trail!
on top of this, chicago's minimum wage ($16/hr) is ~77% that of seattle's ($20.66/hr)
this is really interesting..
the I-5/I-90 interchange!
today i learned that even without adjusting for the higher wages in seattle, it's just already more affordable than chicago. that's what happens when you actually build housing~♪
genuinely cant wait for the crosslake connection, cause this shot with a link train going over will go SO hard
minus the horse part i hate horses theyre so scary
THATS MEEEEEE :D
Meet Kiko, the horse-goat gal! 🐴🐐
to be fair i didnt check down the street i might be able to find something!
i think i found the most beauitful street view in all of chicago
FINALLUY
Ill go into this more later but in brief, this is not a helpful use of population density (unadjusted urbanized area density almost never is)
This is also not substantially why canadian cities get more ridership. That is more because A) canadians are poorer and so are less able to...
imo the 66 should be routed out of the loop and turned into aBRT... the C line, perhaps!
the 66 is a good example of why i think the CTA needs a major bus overhaul like DC's
portland union exterior with the palm trees
the inside of the station
portland union is a very cute station although i was admittedly a little distracted by the furthest north palm trees i’ve ever seen
as much as i love chicago, it'll never not freak me out how much redlining and "urban renewal" they did. this was uncanny to see from the train
NOOOOOOO
sound transit released an interactive map-based survey of proposed access improvements around stations for the everett link extension. make sure to participate~! everettlink.participate.online/interactive-...
Happy Sombrita Day to all who celebrate

DC Union Station is the best station in the US, hands down
It is so good that 2nd and 3rd are blank, Chicago Union is in 4th
