While it's disturbing that the DOJ would rely upon claims discredited 5.5 years ago to make these demands, but it also shows DOJ recognizes they've got nothing, and they're running out of options for interference. 3 months ago - a warrant. 1 month ago - a subpoena. Now, a strongly worded letter.

I am 100% confident that, despite what the feds say or try, they will fail to undermine our elections. Voters will find that our elections are as safe, convenient, and secure as they've ever been, thanks to the states, and I am certain they will find the voting process to be easy and satisfying!

This is a good piece about attempted federal interference in our elections, but it's important to note that the guardrails that protect our elections are almost ENTIRELY at the state/local level, and are holding, thanks to courts, and especially, the election officials who give us all our voice.

How rare is noncitizen voting? Extremely. CEIR reviewed an Iowa audit that flagged only 0.01% of 2024 ballots as potentially cast by noncitizens. Rare but genuine fraud cases are referred to prosecutors — showing our systems work as they should.

Trump DOJ loses again, now 0 for 5 on voter roll cases, as court rejects Rhode Island lawsuit U.S. District Judge Mary S. McElroy, a Trump appointee, called the DOJ’s widespread voter roll demands a “fishing expedition.”

The DOJ is now 0-5 in its voter roll cases, as experts like @beckerdavidj.bsky.social and @justinlevitt.bsky.social predicted to me so many months ago. A Trump appointee ruled against the DOJ in RI this morning.

President Trump's illegal order on mail voting would destabilize US elections.

This isn't a partisan issue, but a fundamental challenge to local election administration, as @beckerdavidj.bsky.social has noted.

Today, a Massachusetts federal court threw out the DOJ’s attempt to seize sensitive and protected voter data. Trump’s DOJ has now lost all 4 cases that the courts have ruled on, an impressive streak. And more are coming.

Court releases secret warrants that Riverside sheriff used to seize over 650,000 ballots The contested warrants used by Riverside County sheriff and gubernatorial candidate Chad Bianco to seize more than 650,000 ballots have been unsealed.

“This is the same conspiracy theory-fueled stuff that we’ve seen elsewhere. It’s unfortunate to see law enforcement officers fall victim to these same easily disprovable conspiracy theories and misuse the warrant process.”

This GOP candidate seized a half-million ballots and says he may do it again Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco, who is running for California governor as a Republican, tried to review ballots despite election officials reaffirming the results.

The sheriff is basing his investigation “on information he either doesn’t understand or is willfully misrepresenting,” Becker said.

The cases challenging last week's EO restricting mail voting filed in DC have been consolidated with Judge Kollar-Kotelly (who blocked Trump's first elections EO). She has ordered parties to begin filing injunction papers this week, and appears to be moving quickly to consider the challenge.

“We still have no idea where this data is stored, how it’s protected, or who has access to it. This data is incredibly sensitive. If someone has any of these sensitive data points on any of us, they can wreck us financially. This is why the states protect this data, and they do a good job of it.”

As we knew would happen, this mail voting EO has already, in >72 hrs, been challenged in 3 different lawsuits. The latest is this complaint, filed by 24 states. As I said, the EO is unconstitutional and illegal on its face. An easy win vs. the administration.

As the president demands documentary proof of citizenship to vote, it shouldn’t be lost that his lawyers today are arguing that the a birth certificate proving you were born in the US should be worthless for proving you’re a citizen. How will we all prove citizenship if he wins this argument?

I've now had a chance to review this purported EO, and it will definitely be blocked in its entirety as soon as the lawyers can get to court. The Framers made sure the President did not have the power to create a national voting list, or dictate to states how they run elections.

EXCLUSIVE: Trump To Crack Down On Mail-In Voting With New Executive Order President Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order Tuesday cracking down on mail-in voting across the country, the Daily Caller learned first.

Some may freak out about this, but honestly, this is hilarious. It's clearly unconstitutional, will be blocked immediately, and the only thing it will accomplish is to make liberal lawyers wealthier. He might as well sign an EO banning gravity.

Trump admin won’t rule out placing federal agents at polls Election officials and lawmakers are alarmed that the administration hasn’t been clear about whether it would post federal agents at polls.

“If there’s any attempt to deploy troops or armed men at voting locations, I’m 100% confident that courts are going to strike this down immediately. Those who are scared of the voters rarely find a way to stop them from making their voice heard,” Becker said.
