It had the advantage for me of being gluten-free (I can tolerate lower-gluten beers tho not wheat or hazy beers).

Next week I'm back in Manchester for a day so I'm going to pick up some zero alcohol/g-free beee from a great microbrewery near to where I used to live, Brightside. I'll report back.

Aha! I too like the Guinness and the Adnams Ghost Ship, both of which I tried recently and was surprised how good they were.

I also buy Corona Cero as it's refreshing, and on my hols I has Athletic Brewing's Upside Dawn, a pale ale, which I quite enjoyed.

Celebrating the early start to the English asparagus season, with a round from the Chinn family at Cobrey farm.
We cooked the asparagus from neighbouring Herefordshire, (not Kent, apologies) in our 9” chef’s prospector casserole, then liberally anointed it with a dulse beurre blanc.

Love the ruby colour. They look a wee heady 😆. I'm living vicariously as I'm having to reduce my alcohol intake. Not great for my neuro stuff. Have you found any zero or low alcohol beers to enjoy. Or is that anathema? 🤣

We Låve Rock has just announced the forthcoming album by prog rock pioneer Clive Nolan, in which the story of the 13th-century king Håkon Håkonsson is retold. The choral lyrics are sung in Old Norse -- a little bird told me. Can't wait to listen.

Ruins of Nine Days' Queen's home to reopen Visitors will be welcomed back to the historic site while a major conservation project continues.

I loved visiting this park in my younger days, when I lived nearby.

I remember seeing a little owl there on the wall.

Need to pay it another visit, now I'm back down in the East Midlands.

Erling Haaland: Manchester City striker donates rare £100k Viking book to home town in Norway Erling Haaland donates a rare 16th-century manuscript of Viking sagas, worth £100,000, to be displayed in the library in the Norwegian town of Bryne, where he grew up.

Great to see he's given this book of Old Norse stories to the public rather than keep it to himself.
