I don't know what it is about photogrammetry that invokes a warm and fuzzy feeling inside me. I guess I just like capturing real things and seeing them in 3d.
p.s. These are captured via RealityScan Mobile / Iphone 14 pro max.

Are the books worth reading? Are they deeper than the TV show in the same way Lord of The Rings and a Game of Fire and Ice books are?

Had a great time at Emerald City Comicon, thanks to everyone who dropped by the booth and said hi or bought a book or print. Between chats, did plenty of robot doodling, here's a sample: #robot #bot #mech #mecha #droid #doodle #eccc #eccc2026

Ah yeah. I couldn't remember which one was first. Which considering BSG is my no.1 favorite TV series, I feel I should know the answer 😅

You’ve just reminded me. This was the first show that I listened to its official podcast (UK version).
May even have been the first show to have an accompanying podcast?

I started an acrylic painting version a few years ago. Coincidentally bought new paints in January, to get back to this and finish it this year.
This is the under painting.

I binged it all last year. Probably my second favourite TV series. It’s amazing.
I think it’s better rewatching it now because we don’t have that enforced 7 day gap between cliffhangers.

Thanks. No lighting reference for this but I do occasional 3d renders for client work so I’m used to imagining where the light rays are bouncing around a scene.
I do like how this came out but I can now see the composition is too heavily weighted to the right.

Ha! Yeah maybe I should make a little diorama of this scene one day 😁

Quote with your most detailed art.

A lot of my early drawings were over-detailed but I think the rug in this drawing takes the crown.

First painting of 2026, man it’s been hard to get started this year. Need to find some motivation!

Today I learned humans still have a third eyelid and it's made me feel a bit queasy.

It doesn't function anymore... thankfully. Though I'm sure if we all grew up with functioning third eyelids I'd probably be tweeting about some other mammal with only two eyelids per eye.
