Didn’t really like the first or second segments, but the last two won me over
and beautifully shot. Also liked Carol’s plot, for largely the same reasons.
I enjoy that VG takes some time to place us in an experience or show us a process in detail, as opposed to the expository dialogue and mechanical story beats of most TV. Would Manousos’ journey be as visceral at half the length? I don’t think so, and even as is, it’s hardly slow cinema,
