The common belief is that while the Conglomerate may be inept, stretched too thin or otherwise indifferent to some people's suffering, it's still better than the Luxen.

Many in the Spin can go a lifetime without seeing a Glommie ship. For this reason, most members who live in the Spin find the Conglomerates to be a little more than bluster and often times consider the Conglomerate to be more of a pain in the gills, rather than some form of 'overarching protector'.

Lesser developed planets are often times completely ignored because they lack the capability to even request assistance from any passing Conglomerate Navy. This makes life on the Spin dangerous due to the constant threat of pirates, invaders or claim jumpers.

The Conglomerate's seat of power remaines near the core of the galaxy. The further from the core, the less likely there is for a Conglomerate outpost or even a Starport.

With so many different species, planets and cultural issues between the various members, the Conglomerate does the best it can with what limited resources it has.

This means that most smugglers and pirates avoid using official Wormring lanes, preferring to use old V-drive tech to try and circumvent random searches.

In order to achieve the travel times needed to respond to threats across the galaxy, the Wormring lanes are deemed to be Conglomerate controlled.

Comprised of the species that had been both uplifted and ruled over by the Luxen, the Conglomerate's primary function is ensuring that all planets of the galaxy are kept safe not only from the ever present threat of a Luxen remergence, but also from potential invasion from pirates or other entities.

It was founded almost three centuries ago, after the unanimous victory in the war against the Luxen regime. The Conglomerate established itself as the administrative power of the known galaxy with the removal of the Luxen.
