It’s also funny that the commenter in your screenshot is referencing the Old Testament as if the New Testament weren’t intended to replace it. I fail to see where violating people’s rights and shoving them into concentration camps without trial falls under “loving thy neighbor”.

The funniest part of all this “Catholic” talk lately is people supporting the president are acting exactly like the English Protestants that supported King Henry VIII instead of following the papacy. History doesn’t repeat, but it sure does rhyme.

So many people are posting about this and getting numbers wrong. The youngest was eighteen months old. That’s not even two years old.

Private schools shouldn’t be able to accept or take any funding from the government either. While we’re at it, let’s tax churches since they’re pushing politics.

Israel’s expansion into Palestine and the rest of Israel’s periphery benefits American oligarchs, so I don’t see that ending any time soon.

I believe I read the number is $250,000 per head. Meanwhile, the concentration camps don’t have proper toilets, running water, and the food is rancid and lined with maggots and other pests.

Plenty of the people being kidnapped and forced into the concentration camps aren’t even here illegally, they’re seeking asylum and refuge. The people kidnapping them don’t know or care because they’re not being given trials.

They are concentration camps by the United States government’s own definition and should only be referred to as such.

Coachella is removing these videos, so they might be about to learn about the Strokesand Effect.

Workers ought to be in charge of society. Why should the 1% dictate our lives and the lives of the rest of the world?

I didn’t read the whole thread, but i left a reply deriding the concept of the “purity test”.

You’re totally right, I shouldn’t criticize democrats like Gavin Newsom who are willing to throw my trans relatives into the woodchipper. We should also not criticize democrats who support genocide in Gaza and Lebanon because that’s just “purity tests”.
Definitely

Raping children is something they’re okay with.

Yeah, I’ve worked in several different chain restaurants, a few diners, and three “fine dining” restaurants. The management and staffing were pretty much the exact same across it all. I think it’s less to do with the restaurants being “shitty” and more to do with a lack of labor rights in my state.

Not enough people were killed for their crimes at the Nuremberg trials. Humanity will have to do better this time around.

Someone just blocked me after I let it be known to them that they could, in fact, participate in rent strikes.
Tenant unions exist. It’s only of many different forms of organizing we can do outside of the Democrat and Republican duopoly. There’s much more we can do.

You’re right nothing has changed. 💯
I said Vietnam specifically because majority of Americans didn’t want to participate in or support that war.

If we need coverage because we’re sick, in jail, a car accident, or the hospital there is at most 2-3 people we can call to try to get coverage and if we aren’t able to get coverage we get fired. Then they pull the app from the top of the stack and hire the replacement.

Perhaps there aren’t enough where you’re at. I know it’s far from the truth where I’m at. Where I’m at a waiter or cook/dishie is lucky if the general manager affords the kitchen and FOH managers 3-4 more people than are required to complete a shift. It’s nuts, it’s lazy, and it’s inefficient.

We can do more than that. We can form parties, we can organize on other grounds, we can do strikes: rent strikes, work strikes, mutual aid, etc.
you’re doing the same democratic entryism b.s. everyone else arguing in this thread is. It’s only true if you believe it.

Everyone I know, same employer or not, in the industry has had the same experience in this state. There’re always stacks of apps, they never hire enough people, they don’t afford 40 hr work weeks, and they fire people for calling out because covering shifts is near impossible (inadequate staffing)
