Very excited to announce the FIRST symposium on epigenome editing! These tools are becoming widely used in mol bio, ag & therapy. It's time to bring leaders together to discuss this rapidly growing and exciting field. And why not in Paris! Please register & share! (1/2) ctrlepiedit.sciencesconf.org
Our Lab is searching a postdoc for an exciting ERC-funded project that will start this summer. Apply if you’re passionate about multi-omics, cutting-edge computational approaches, and exploring biological questions across the animal 🪼 🪱 🐞 🦎 🦋 🕷️ tree of life www.biozentrum.unibas.ch/open-positio...

Congratulations Dr. Fritz Garcia! You can be proud of all what you achieved!
Huge shoutout to my long term buddy @felibas.bsky.social who co-led this project with me, scientists/CF @imbmainz.bsky.social @biozentrum.unibas.ch and Simon Hippenmeyer, Thierry Schmidlin Labs.
New Preprint www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6... from our lab - work by (now) Dr. Feyza Polat Haas with fabulous contributions from many. We show that mammals have a 💪 POWER-Spliceoeome in the 🧠 optimized for metabolic functions. This happens because SNRPB (SmB) is replaced by its paralogue SNRPN (SmN).
For once an article about the "how to get to Rome" and not "Rome" itself. Collaboration with my "partner-in-crime" @felibas.bsky.social has been a key ingredient of my research over the years. Sara Miller at Molecular Cell spoke with us of how we got there and what we think about collaborations.
Stunning lecture („Antrittsvorlesung“) by @hilgerslab.bsky.social - friend, mentor and scientific inspiration at the very same time 😀 Happy that our paths join again in #Basel

New year - New paper! Congratulations to @miyapan.bsky.social @hugodarras.bsky.social and team! Conservation of a transcribed lncRNA (?) without sequence similarity 😉
Thanks to our amazing collaborators: the Colgan @hibernogruppe.bsky.social 🐝, Keller Valsecchi @kellervalsecchi.bsky.social and Darrouzet labs
Thank youuuu 🫶
