I meant to say QUIT😭
It's been a long day.

Neat.
Also neat is that he just quicks internet like that
Fun fact:
Rod cells are distributed on the periphery of the eyeball, and they are sensitive to light and movement.
Which means when you are alone in a dark forest, trying to find the killer, don't look straight ahead! Turn your body slightly sideways, and use the corner of your eye to see!
I was crimping an Ethernet jack at the corner of a ceiling today. It's night time, and the corner is dimly lit.
I noticed I can pretty clearly see the individual wires, but I CANNOT tell the colors apart!
That's because I was using the rod cells in my eyeballs to see☝️🤓
I don't play games much, so I borrowed this Nintendo Switch for test fitting.
I guess I should get my hands on a Nintendo Switch 2 now, since the Joy-Cons are not compatible.
PS:
I'm doing this for skill building and increasing accessibility for gamers with mobility issues, not money
Took the photos with my phone AND THE LAMP I JUST FINISHED TODAY✨

Yippee, finally published these adapters that lets you play Switch with one hand🥳
PS: These are not my original design, it's a remix, properly attributed in the link👍 I just polished up the files a bit😅

1. It feels fitting to name it after Quetzalcoatl because it's so huge and awe inspiring! (not sure if it's respectful to the Aztec culture tho😬...)
2. It's literally the size of small plane (Cessna 172)
Look up to heroic characteristics; don't look up to heroes.
The LED lamp tube is really light, it won't topple evne if it's set up like this!
A pipe connected to the flange act as the mast of the lamp, I printed a cover for the rusty flange.
I printed another piece that's clamped on the pipe, it can move up and down or rotate on the pipe if I loosen the thumbscrew.
And that's why I build one myself!
The base is a piece of thick wood and a (rusty) pipe flange. The wood is glued together from non-rotted parts of a chair that's been sitting outdoors for years.
I used to use this simple desk lamp for taking photos of my 3D prints, I don't like it because...
1. The height and reach of the lamp is tied together. When it's stretched out, it's lower/closer to the desk.
2. When it's tucked away, it bends backwards and take up space outside of the desk.
I've been to stores that handed me a QR code plaque at the register and tell me to order with my phone🫠
I'm going to try and see what happens when I don't bring my phone🤔
(I'm not in the US, so situation might be different?)
100%
I despise places that do the "scan this QR code to order" thing.
What if my phone's camera is busted? What if my phone doesn't have internet? What if I don't want to bring a phone to coffee shop?
🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
My feelings for Christina's World is basically the same as this:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eOI...
A close up crop of the painting "Christina's World" by Andrew Wyeth, with Christina filling the frame
Randomly started crying after noticing how skinny Christina's arms are and how contorted her fingers are😭
(Christina's World by Andrew Wyeth)
(IMO this painting is about resilience. While rufusing to use a wheelchair is kind of silly, the painting is still very emotional to me)
Its' a really good...but werid film, I would say😆
Very stacked cast👌
Finally, I really don't get Andy Weir😭 Watch this video from context:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vR4...
The runtime is 2hrs 36mins, which I think is too long. There's a "oh no, something went wrong, we have go back!" scene in the end. I think the film will be smoother if that's trimmed.
The wire/stunt work is really good. I don't know how they can make Ryan go up/down AND sideways, feels authentic.
The puppet work for Rocky is also splendid.
I'm sure there are also a lot of CGI replacements and such, which are totally indistinguishable to my eyes. Great job CGI artists!
It tickles my nerd brain that Grace and Rocky communicate where they come from using star maps!
Grace's spaceship has a golden record on board. It's a quiet scene, but it's very emotional. Imagine waking up in a spaceship, alone, amnestic, and seeing something that represent human's last hope.
One of my favorite scene in the film is Grace going to Home Depot to conduct experiments with things duct taped togethere. I've done so IRL, and it feels so real to me!
No need to spend big money if you are just running preliminary experiments!
Haahahahahahahaha that's freaking awesome lol
The space looks very tasty, a bit reminiscent to the one in 2001: A Space Odysse (1968).
If I am to critique, I would say it's too tactical looking. (Suits with big-ol bulbous visors feels more inspirational/explorer-y to my eyes)
Ryan's clothes in the film looks so FRICKING comfy.
The mustard color jumpsuit feels real and looks good, even though very different from current NASA's.
