A ★★★★★ review of The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974) This is a near perfect film in every way.  Well written Well acted Well directed Well edited  Suspenseful, action packed, and just the right amount of humor… and the final shot…? Chef’s kiss 🖤

I finally watched this film last night and can’t say enough about how entertaining it is.

Ran across some great old photos while reorganizing my office. I'm pretty sure I was the first music photographer to photograph the band "Tweedy". Jeff and Spencer... not sure of the munky's name...

I just signed a deal to print and distribute my photo book "NICE, Six Years with the Jesus Lizard". That is both exciting and a little terrifying! It's real now! Watch for it in the coming months. As ever, follow here for updates!

Patti Smith // “Sometimes you’re doing really well, then, after three or four years, everything inexplicably crashes like a house of cards and you have to rebuild it. It’s not like you get to a point where you’re all right for the rest of your life.”

A ★★★★★ review of Train Dreams (2025) A beautiful meditation on the passing of time, the interconnection of all things, and understanding one’s life and their place in it all.  A gorgeous film.  Everyone in it is wonderful. William H Macy...

My daughter Scarlet and I just got back to recording our podcast after life sidetracked the project for a spell. We dove back in with “Near Dark” 1987 directed by Kathryn Bigelow!

I loved the comedy albums of Bill Cosby when I was a kid. I still LOVE the early films by Woody Allen, most especially “Love and Death”, one of my absolute favorite movies. I’m sad they turned out to be such shitty men.
