Yes, the penny will disappear, but it’s not that difficult. The consumer should not have to wait in till after the sale to hear the cashier say “oh I’m sorry we don’t have pennies” that’s outrageous. Businesses will earn thousands of dollars ultimately ripping off the consumers.

The simplest fix is rounding the final bill total, not individual item prices. For example:
Totals ending in 1–2 cents → round down to 0
3–4 cents → round up to 5
6–7 cents → round down to 5
8–9 cents → round up to 10
It’s not about the penny it’s about the principle. If I owe it, I have to pay it… so why doesn’t that go both ways?
I’m honestly fed up. If my total ends in change, I expect my change every penny of it. Lately, stores just aren’t giving pennies back, and we’re all just supposed to accept it? That “it’s only a cent” mindset adds up fast when it’s happening to hundreds of customers a day.

When the behavior is intentional, an apology is meaningless. Racist performative acts aren’t followed by genuine accountability, and they haven’t been for a long time. Calls for apologies often function more as emotional reassurance for white audiences than as a challenge to the underlying racism.
Why are fragile people so obsessed with demanding apologies? Apologies are useless when the behavior is intentional. Racist performative nonsense doesn’t deserve one and hasn’t for years. These demands usually exist to ease white discomfort, not to address the racism. #trumpracistpost🤷🏽♀️
