Why in the fuck do I have to wear a fucking suit on an airplane? You want me to dress up just to fly in a crammed box with dozens of other people? These people are fucking mental.

AI is taking over so quickly under this admin it's hard to even imagine where this is going to lead us. Death will be present for sure. A lot of unneeded and unwarranted death and suffering.

AI tools = people will die.

You know, government can operate simply to make the lives of its constituents better.

Imagine that.

Where U.S. science has been hit hardest after Trump’s first year The Trump administration has slashed the number of grants from the National Institutes of Health, with far fewer focused on women, cancer and mental health.

During Trump's first year the NIH supported 2,700 fewer projects, including a 31% drop in projects with the word "women" in them.

Trump's attack on science is undermining American innovation & more importantly, is an attack on Americans' health.

The economy isn't broken—it's working exactly as designed, just not for you. Data confirms it: personal income down, savings rate 4%, debt record high. The S&P hit records for the 10% who own it. The rest of us get the bill.

The craziest thing about this whole thing is they still have not addressed (nor the Dems) access lol. Great, new treatments, most people still won't have access to because of financial reasons. Also haven't other countries already been doing research and studies like this for a long time now?

Women are safe....for now. Question is what do they try next. I still don't think Marshal Law is off the table.

Elections matter.

What is crazy is from what I read this man is a conservative centrist. Politics outside the US are pretty different. Even the right wing doesn't go after (publicly anyway) things like social health care systems. It shows how different politics are outside the US in some ways. Good to see though.

No, no it's not. But under the current Trump admin do this to groups they support is illegal. Ah fascism. Such a joy isn't it? What is hilarious is this admin doesn't even try to hide what they are. At all.

If Trump is around in 2028 mark my words it's going to end with him in a bunker under his ballroom with all his admin refusing to hand over the power to the Dems if they win calling the election rigged. This is what 2028 will look like.

I am going to be honest, is this kind of stuff just not expected now with anyone this admin roles in front of us? If it's not expected it should be lol.

Because they are just doing the thing, using those words American's have been taught to be afraid of. The problem is people are starting to not buy it anymore.

despite at one point being very against him because of clips and other things I saw on the internet. Then through luck I met someone through gaming who is friends with him and does production for him. So I started watching him and man I was like "holy shit they lie about this man constantly".

Oh MA huh! I am lived their my first 32 years of my life and my whole family still lives there. I miss it so much. I moved to a deep red state for work and regret it every day now. I live 15 minutes from the ocean too. Grass isn't always greener hah. I am almost 46 years old and watch Piker a lot

Crazy thing is the democratic base is moving more in the Piker, AOC, Bernie, Mamdani direction. Which is why we see the attacks on people like Piker. Which means the Dem party is setting itself up to fail again. Even if they get power I worry what comes after, & Republicans getting control again.

To me a lot of this is defected Republicans trying to make the Dem party in their image. Attack the left. The side that has been right about so much but continually get push out of political power or shut down before they get there. Sanders was predicting this moment we are in 20+ years ago.

That said I do think at times Piker leans to heavy on communism/Marxism the ideas. To me these ideas are unrealistic utopian ideas that human's can't accomplish. For a lot of reasons. We have already existed on earth 300 thousand years and there is more basic stuff we have yet to figure out.

Piker gets a lot of stuff right & he is extremely educated. Just listen to him talk for 30 minutes when he is talking about certain subjects. The down side is language he uses can be taken out of context or misrepresented (see article above) because he talks about subjects most media won't touch.

While you are right that communism has failed, communism has never existed in the true form of the idea (nor do I think it ever will/could). Communism has always been hijacked by people with bad intentions. However the issue with Capitalism is it can not exist without poverty. It's unfair by design.
