I would love to see it! But I would not love to see the US military be sicced on the ICC. Hopefully someone at least nabs him when Trump is out of office and the next government is less likely to invoke the Hague Invasion Act.

As a matter of fact, as an ally of the US he's technically protected by the Hague Invasion Act, which means if another country did arrest him and send him to the ICC, by US law the US could legally use military force to extract him from the Hague.

There's technically no obligation whatsoever until your government admits he is responsible for said war crimes. Other countries saying it happened doesn't mean much unless you're an ICC signatory.

The warrants have nothing to do with anything as they're ICC warrants and the US is not party to them.

The War Crimes Act, based on the Geneva Convention, does require the US to arrest anyone for grave breaches of IHL, but the US itself would have to consider those war crimes to have been committed

These are the kind of people who think ideas are the most important thing, and people should be frothing at the mouth to do the actual execution for them 😩

Aside from the good points Kim made this is why if you do have a budget it's a very good idea to lead with it.
