An Imperial officer says, "It's an older meme Sir, but it checks out."

I've seen it posted that "China is the competition, CENTCOM is the adversary."
That's definitely a reason he's been given.
The frequency with which this happen concerns me.
There's no way we're both unlucky enough to always coincide at the pump with some tiny number of these people, which means the only explanation left is "we're completely outnumbered."
There's two kinds of opinions about what state has the worst drivers:
-People who have not experienced Maryland drivers will (incorrectly) say some other state.
-People who have experienced Maryland drivers will (correctly) say Maryland.
it's sad that prejudice blinds people to how bad driving isn't a matter of ethnicity, but of being from Maryland.
My kids HATE it, it gets basic shit wrong about Minecraft and Stardew Valley issues they're trying to work through. It's been a good lesson on media literacy and "being smarter than your tools."
Israel Was Informed Late About Cease-Fire Deal and Wasn't Happy
Oh, you mean that someone presented them with a fait accompli and only informed them at the last minute? Can you imagine that? Who would do something like that to a partner?
Absolutely the fuck not
The value proposition of base housing just dropped even further.
I would like one single solitary 12 month period without this meme being relevant. We're going to need like ten more panels on it at this rate.
For the n=1 case, there exists at least 1 "C" in C5ISRT.
Assume that we have created an acronym with n "C"s: C(n)ISRT. This acronym describes a capability that either we or our adversaries must counter, requiring a C(n+1)ISRT to do so.
Therefore, it's C∞ISRT. Turtles all the way down.
Buffalo!
RAH
I'm still here more than anywhere else, I'm just more in receive-mode lately due to high professional-life tempo.
"Expert" is a stretch, can't be right in both of those simultaneously...
Ah, Japan. I miss it every day.
4-panel meme of Gru from Despicable Me, laying out the brilliant plan: 1, Get Promoted 2, Affect Planning 3, Attend More Meetings [he stares in disappointment at] 3, Attend More Meetings
Pretty sure I got this off @lethalityjane.bsky.social 8 years ago, and man, it was downright adorable that I thought I understood the meme back then.
Yup, "an active life" is kind of invisible. Wifedraw walks 10k steps a day, through blizzard or typhoon as applicable, yet the kids probably have little true idea what's being indoctrinated here.
I absolutely strive to model a life of fitness for my kids, but I'd feel like I was failing as a parent if they felt compelled to know the particulars at the granularity level of my 1RM.
These kinds of replies somehow wind up "below the cutline" and have to be navigated to independently. It's very strange.
I mean I've had that conversation in real life.
"Would this work?"
"For all these reasons it is a bad idea that cannot work."
"Okay but assume all that DOTMLPF gets worked. Would it sork?"
"Well if you gave me a million dollars I would be a millionaire."
I3: "What's Radio Recon have on conditions on the ground?"
I2: "Indications they've been eaten by Ewoks. Civil Affairs has been tasked to feed the Ewoks but they say they keep being underfunded."
Right. Lots of speculation on this site all week about what the Marine Expeditionary Units headed towards the Persian Gulf might do, most of it pretty unhinged, so this thread is MEU 101. I'll keep adding to it as necessary.
Emphatically agreed. It's a heavy, heavy thing, but as a guest in their home I felt compelled to look that truth in the eye and it shaped everything I did there.
Glorious.
Ooooh this a great topic!
There's also an entire massive sculpture/memorial garden with contributions from every other prefecture. One could dedicate an entire day between that and the museum itself, and still have to rush.
Awesome!
