“The Trees All Are Bare” is a lovely scene-setter. Almost makes us look forward to the colder weather.

UK folk and traditional starter pack Join the conversation

I've started up a starter pack loosely based around the UK folk and traditional music scene and will be adding to it all the time. If you can think of any artists, organisations or mandolin-whittling interest groups I've missed please let me know!

I'm delighted that the tune we're using to accompany the song "What Wondrous Love is This" on the new Gigspanner
Big Band album is from a village my family comes from. North Leigh had a morris tradition much of which has become extinct - but was described by Cecil Sharp.

Pielarks needs new singers, people who enjoy traditional folk music, and can sing confidently, in tune and in rhythm. We practise every Monday morning, 10 till 12, in north Kingston.
