Despite using our community as a backdrop for all those press conferences on the campaign, there was no mention of Helene recovery during the State of the Union.

Chuck Edwards doesn't even have the clout within his own party for our recovery to be mentioned once during a two hour speech.

There's a lot dividing us from one another right now, but we have more in common than could ever be different, and Dr. King's life shows us that it's never a bad time to work together for a better world. I hope that's a set of values we'll take with us as we remember him today.
