Lawyers Guild, Protect Democracy do work on legal defense. The party is focused on winning elections - unfortunately we don't have a culture of mass organizing where we win elections by plugging tens of thousands of volunteers into meaningful work over time. Easier said than done.

Ok on the nominees fight. Here's the thing, mostly folks nominated have been incompetent. That is wonderful. We should pray for more of those nominees.

What we need to avoid is a nominee that knows a ton about how to manage federal civil service and who is going to destroy our democracy.

Local dems do that! The national news doesn't cover it though. But also, the non-profits that do those things at scale often don't engage in the political arena, but @afjustice.bsky.social is working to change that.
