Who are you bringing to the April 5th street protests? What are you dressing up as? What sort of sound system have you rigged up for the jams?

Do not respond to Trump blaming DEI. THAT is literally his whole playbook.

He fucking fired the people in charge that IS WHY THERE WAS A CRASH. Please help me stop yelling.

The media is bungling a MASSIVE fuck-up from Trump that just killed 67 passengers. They are not reporting that he FIRED the head of the FAA and TSA just days before the crash! And that he threatened all federal workers and asked them to immediately retire.

Who is ready to call them out with me?

Trump fired the head of the TSA. He threatened the air traffic controllers and demanded they retire. They were understaffed and now dozens of people are dead.

Kash lies.

The chaos is the point - if everyone is at risk then he has more power. He wants everyone to be afraid that what they have will be taken away so that we obey.

We will not.

Any sense of which Senators we might have, and what angles would be relevant to them?

I am ready for four years of Pete talking about this every weekend

230k across 3 states votes is not a mandate.

I think we will win the Hegseth fight! Vets will not stand for this and there are 4 GOP Senators are more afraid of them than Trump.

Anyone sure who the other 3 are to join Mitch? Collins, Murkowski, Tillis? Are we really sure?

Lawyers Guild, Protect Democracy do work on legal defense. The party is focused on winning elections - unfortunately we don't have a culture of mass organizing where we win elections by plugging tens of thousands of volunteers into meaningful work over time. Easier said than done.

Ok on the nominees fight. Here's the thing, mostly folks nominated have been incompetent. That is wonderful. We should pray for more of those nominees.

What we need to avoid is a nominee that knows a ton about how to manage federal civil service and who is going to destroy our democracy.

let's hope you do soon!

Local dems do that! The national news doesn't cover it though. But also, the non-profits that do those things at scale often don't engage in the political arena, but @afjustice.bsky.social is working to change that. More promising possibility imo - non-profit sector much larger than political sector

@alaska.bsky.social have you heard anything from local progressive/ centrist orgs about efforts to be in person with the Senators over Thanksgiving to stop Gaetz, Hegseth recess appt etc?

There was a big story about how the resistance has gone limp - I'm hearing murmurs that it's just gotten wise.

Senate Dems need to be ready to stop the GOP from doing recess appointments and put their bodies on the line

I worked on the Harris campaign. The weak election effort by Philly Dems is a sign that Bob Brady has to go | Opinion Under Brady's failed leadership, the city's Democratic Party resembles more of a social club for political has-beens than a functioning organization designed to build power for working people.

Please let the Bob Brady kerfuffle allow ambitious organizers to realize they need to take over local Democratic parties everwhere. www.inquirer.com/opinion/comm...

We the people will never allow the federal government to deliver retribution to political enemies in America.

Practice saying that every day. Tell your family. Tell your friends. Shout it from the rooftops.

Together we will make it true.

I agree with this except I think that price gouging was relatively prominent in the campaign's final stretch - could have and should have been more central perhaps

I will give a $10,000 grant to anyone with a compelling and feasible plan to start to destroy the network effects that allow X to continue to dismantle US democracy.

Who is organizing to destroy X and why don't we all know each other?

If your primary issue is dismantling the military industrial complex I can see how this election would be a tough call. Thanks for rocking it anyway
