3rd grade T used inquiry-based learning to elevate her Ss' writing skills. By guiding them to ask both deep, open-ended questions and simple, closed ones, she encouraged critical thinking & a more thoughtful writing process. Great way to empower students!

A quote reads, “Inquiry is not a project. Inquiry is how we show up in the classroom. Inquiry is a stance from which we teach.” Below the quote, it says, “Inquiry Mindset, Trevor MacKenzie.” To the right is part of the book cover, featuring the title, subtitle, and illustrations of icons such as a question mark, lightbulb, and a drawing of a smiling child.

Teaching through inquiry is about more than projects. It’s a mindset that shapes how we engage and inspire students.

How can we adopt inquiry as a teaching stance to spark curiosity and deeper learning?
