I wasn't always a full time #author with several successful books in print. (1/11)

Truth be told, I failed 100x more than I succeeded.

But some of the projects I worked on have paved the way to the artist and writer I am today.

Here's a quick timeline of some of my projects:

I am no Tolkien whisperer, but I have enough faith in the man to feel FH's statement "Beware of charismatic leaders. They are bad for ur health" wasn't wasted on Tolkien. He wrote extensively on the theme of "corruption" (of nature, values & the human heart). Reckon it was the "faith as weapon" bit.

Aye. I was just about to iterate this very idea. I reckon the true answer - though we may never know it - lies somewhere along the line of "faith being used as a weapon of corruption", which might've hit too close to home for a pious writer like Tolkien. His personal dislike might've come from this.

This is a bit of a conundrum for me as well. I've always wondered why Tolkien disliked Dune with such intensity. Perhaps he was afraid readers would cheer Paul's ascension to power.

Both LOTR & Dune are vastly different works with different styles, themes & intents. Both are literary masterpieces.🖤

I had an amazing day on set today. 🥰 We just wrapped up filming episode 9 & we are prepping to shoot the 10th (and final) episode.

In season 1, I got to meet my interdimensional doppelgängers & explore the vast fantasy world of my novels.

I can't wait to unleash this wacky show upon the world! 💙📚
