Then go the step further instead of demonstrating to the corporations you claim to be against that you lack the brainpower to understand how boycotts work. Boycotts are supposed to last until demands are met. Having a predetermined, announced end date is a stupid strategy.

If the boycott has a preplanned end date w/no specific demands needing to be met, it’s pointless. At best, these companies will have a *surge of profits* the day before and after. These aren’t boycotts. It’s faux activism designed to make people feel like they’re doing something while doing nothing.
Right! People pat themselves on the back for this shit, for not organizing, for not educating themselves, for not educating their community, and going back to business as usual the very next fucking day. It pisses me off!
If anything, this is just a reminder to corporations that we suck at organizing and stopping misinformation, so they don’t have to worry about us actually boycotting anytime soon.
They are fully aware that our money decides how things go. That’s why celebrities who do something colossally stupid get their sponsors dropped. It’s us that needs reminding how the stuff works
The effective boycotts in the past lasted several years, w/ppl willing to completely give up the goods or services until specific demands were met. I don’t see how a one day boycott does anything. It’s more showy faux activism that doesn’t make sense if you think about it for more than three seconds
