It would be a lot easier if the question were "you cannot make anything COMMERCIAL". Because in that case along with the fanfic I would get into designing tabletop RPG systems and release them for free.
I don't do TTRPG design because the time-vs-reward is utterly impractical for me. I have ideas.

I would catch up on reading and gaming and do some traveling with my partners but it would also drive me crazy and isolate me from my fic friends.
I suppose maybe I could try to do some drawing/crafting stuff since that's not public consumption?

If your game has cutscenes with text only, no VO, you need to allow fast readers to click to proceed faster. Otherwise you it’ll feel frustrating and people (er me) will start looking at their phones instead of reading your carefully crafted text.
