After a while, I couldn't wait to return home..

The city has changed drastically and not for the better. We stayed in Dobbs Ferry-my friends volunteered to dogsit Sachi, lived 2 minutes from the hotel. Driving in the city and parking is ridiculous, which affected everything we did.

Then we traveled down to the city, again to see my good friends. I learned that I didn't miss the city at all, but the people I left behind.

Hi, Frank! We spent the month of October in NY. First, we went upstate to the Binghamton area to see my best friend who recently had a heart attack (only in his mid 50's but immune-compromised)
and other friends who I never got to say goodbye to.

Last time I was there the portions were still huge. The tavern is more upscale now....beautifully decorated with wonderful service. My meal there might be the best of my trip.
And... we are going back to Lydig Ave for the best pizza in NY!

I've been on FB and I miss you there. I miss our weekly discussions about football and the Yankees.
