Just had a fantastic presentation from @bcpolicy.bsky.social about BC's economy and the fact that we have a revenue problem rather than a spending one. Spending compared to inflation and GDP is relatively flat across the last 25 years while revenue has dropped by nearly 5%. Was v. fascinating!

The event saw 29 teams of three students from 15 schools across the district answer questions from 12 nominated Red Cedar Books, testing their reading comprehension and memory.

Actual day 1 of #olasc25 (yesterday was day 0). Started the morning with CyberLegends, KnowledgeFlow and ICTC talking about free, Canadian Cyber Security education developed by educators for educators. Now on to the annual Best Bets, one of my favorites. Time to learn about amazing books.
