There's a rash of people chasing this "dramedy" niche lately from the wrong side. A drama with a handful of situational comedic scenes that spawn naturally works so much better than forcing an air of decorum onto a deeply unserious comedy about the worst people you know trying to do a wedding.

Final review for The Drama (2026): This movie should've chosen less things to be. The dark comedic elements worked amazingly but the attempts play some of the more surrealist plot twists with a straight face ruined it. The film is not a serious film, but it wasn't unserious enough.

Massive insoluble fiber brunch (Greek omelet with spinach and onions and olives) may have been a bit of a mistake that's making me late to meet up with some friends but the flip side is you absolutely can tell by sensation alone when you're done for sure.

Boy Meets Girl (2014) has a lot of cringe and a few VERY questionable moments where you want to poke your head in the writers room and ask "WTAF was that line?" but ALSO it's kinda endearing that they so strictly applied the RomCom formula just with one of the romantic leads being transfemme.
