What is this the 1890s? “They were devoted friends and roommates.”

VERY COOL PERSON: It's four-twenty, you know what that means?
ME: Hell yeah! [starts shoving blackbirds into a pie]
A picture of a rather dilapidated copy of "The picture of Dorian Gray" There is visible water damage to the cover and the plastic cover is yellowing. Obviously, not evident from the picture but there is a truly foul musty smell emanating from it!
Last week, a gentleman returned this rather dilapidated copy of this famous book to us after 50 years. He had found it in his attic!
Presumably this means there is a pristine copy somewhere in our libraries....
Buttigieg: I’ll give the Turning Point folks a lot of strategic credit for going to a lot of different places. Going to these college campuses is kind of the equivalent, in their minds, of the way I feel when I go on Fox News.
The difference is, when I go on Fox News, I’m telling the truth
Release the Epstein Files
they got the Church of England supporting the Pope now
Paper titled, "Union representation? What can. you do about it?" Features a Peanuts comic strip with two frames. In the First, Lucy holds up a fist to Linus, saying "These five fingers...individually they're nothing. But when I curl them together like this into a single unit, they form a weapon that is terrible to behold!" In the second frame, Lucy is walking away while Linus looks at his relaxed fingers saying, "Why can't you guys get organized like that?" Below the comic strip in bubble letters: "It's ok to organize." From the AFSCME Organizing and Field Services records, Reuther Library, Wayne State University.

The Pope doesn’t seem worried about being primaried from the right.
Holding up a sign that says “VOTE YES - ALAWU; Strong Staff = Strong ALA”
Next week ALA Staff will be voting for our Union - ALA Workers United - you better believe I’m voting a big YES. Library Worker colleagues, I hope you are as excited for us as we are for the amazing victories in your work.
Vote Yes because a strong staff makes for a strong ALA for ALL OF US.
Well the phone and iPad are charged and my pjs are at the ready and the light to the basement is on just in case we need to make a quick run down there sometime tonight during the window for potentially severe storms tonight into tomorrow morning #miweather #detroitweather

Post from threads: I've heard that there was a very special payload on board the Integrity capsule. A 1 inch square piece of canvas from the Wright Brothers plane, provided by the Smithsonian. A piece of Challenger. A piece of Columbia. Tonight, the Wright brothers have flown higher than they ever dreamed possible. Tonight, Challenger made it safely into space. Tonight, Columbia finally came home.
Hey if anyone needed a good cry today
The White House is now Temu Versailles.
Right!

We watched it last night:
“He’s so famous!”
“Alex is there as well.”
My wife and I burned through all 20 series since July and am excited that Series 21 has begun!
(Alex is my favorite. After Patatas. And the faux card catalog. And probably Fred the Swede)
Eep. We’ve been house shopping since end of Jan w/ 3 not-accepted offers. Today we just got notified that we’re “clear to close” on our first ever home. The sellers are older & asked for extra time, so we may be closing next week, but don’t expect to take possession until end of May at the latest.
Hahahaha you think we’re not going to incinerate in the next years.
I have a mini one too, the local furniture company gave them out to all graduating high school seniors. I got mine in 1994. Really hold a lot of miscellaneous stuff like my graduation tassels and some random buttons and lapel pins and ephemera from when my dad was in the Navy

Can we have a military coup or regime change here?
I’m up for a military junta! It would be a nice change of pace to have things run by career professionals.
