It will be interesting (and sad) to follow how these new tariffs will impact the global aviation industry. I really wonder how this will affect long-term corporate decisions in the US, and if the global economy will indeed start to be more US-independent.

🌀Hello from KLM’s Engine Services in Schiphol Oost. Here KLM works on a plethora of engines and has recently added the LEAP 1A and LEAP 1B to its capabilities.

🔴There have been rumours about a large order coming from flydubai. Its CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith, just commented on Airways: "We are currently assessing our requirement for narrow-body aircraft, and any decision will be announced once it is finalised". Stay tuned for the full story.

ITA currently owns the brand Alitalia. In 2023 they even contested Aeroitalia, another airline in Italy, as its brand would be ‘too similar’ to Alitalia..
🔴 ITA has been more or less humbly bragging for years to be a different entity from Alitalia, a totally new startup born from zero. The truth is, it was just a matter of time before the old Alitalia logo made a comeback.

🛫 First flight of the year! Flying easyJet U27861 from Amsterdam to Southampton for the weekend. At 33 euros one-way, this may be the cheapest ticket I’ve ever purchased (just six days before flying)

On January 15, 2015, the first A350-900XWB started commercial service with Qatar Airways on a flight between Doha and Frankfurt. The A350-1000 took off for the first time just over a year later, beginning revenue service in 2018.
