Just re-upping this new target article I co-authored w/ the incredible @elangmann.bsky.social It integrates insights from 3 fields that generally aren't working together much: aging studies, disability studies, & #bioethics in context of #EpistemicJustice
Let us know if you'd like a PDF!
This article brings together questions that have been central to my work for some time: how ageism and ableism intersect, and how epistemic injustice helps make visible what is excluded or devalued in bioethics and public health. I’d be happy to hear your thoughts.
I’m very happy to share that my article with @profgoldberg.bsky.social is now out in AJOB:

As my research residency at Fondation Brocher comes to an end, I am very thankful for weeks filled with sunshine, lake views, long walks, and great conversations. I worked on marginalisation and public health in a rhythm of thinking, writing, shared meals, and pétanque after lunch.

New paper by our colleagues Tamar Nov-Klaiman and @ruthhorn.bsky.social, co-authored with @hbowmansmart.bsky.social.
They explore how practical and societal barriers to accessing a termination of pregnancy for fetal anomaly in Germany impact women's reproductive autonomy and wellbeing.

A group of Neonazis in 🇦🇹 created fake social media accounts to lure homosexual men to "dates" where they then attacked, robbed, and seriously injured them—one case possibly handled as attempted murder. They humiliated survivors, filmed it, and uploaded it to private chat groups. 15 arrests so far.
