Today marks World Curlew Day, I had the opportunity to speak with David Gray and fellow advocates about how we can better support the conservation of curlews in the UK, which is home to around 30% of the global population.

I’m so pleased that Henley is keeping its fire station, and that Thame keeps both its engines. Now we need to kick on and campaign for a full time day crew in Henley

I spoke with senior leadership at Travelodge headquarters in Thame to discuss the safety of guests and employees. They have promised root and branch change, and I will continue to engage with them to ensure they fulfil these commitments.
In the Fatherhood APPG we heard from Laura Wyatt-Smith about her book 'Screen saver: A judgement free guide to your child's first smartphone'.
Change involves honest communication in families, regulation of social media and a gradual move towards alternative ways of spending free time.
A huge thank to you to Braid Maidens for a very enjoyable and useful Pints and Ponytails. Rather proud of this one! These types of sessions are brilliant for dads to connect with each other and also build confidence with their children’s hair!
Wonderful to be able to lend a hand to our neighbours over the river in Wokingham constituency, supporting Katrin in Thames ward. A brilliant councillor that deserves to be re-elected!
A joint letter to the PM, signed by 50 MPs, calling for the government to adopt my Bill to stop water companies negotiating away their fines.
Constituents have had enough, concrete action must be taken to hold Thames Water to account.
Thank you Danny for speaking about HG
I attended a roundtable with the PANS PANDAS UK Youth Board.
PANS and PANDAS can develop in any child following a routine infection and symptoms may include obsessive-compulsive behaviours, tics and behavioural regression.
Increasing awareness is key to improving care for young people.
As Vice Chair of the APPG for Babies, I joined a meeting on Giving Every Child the Best Start: Evidence and Priorities for the Early Years.
The first 1001 days of life are pivotal to a child’s future development, so policy must support them in becoming the best version of themselves 🌟
Social media algorithms are pushing content to young girls that encourages eating disorders, I asked the Minister for Health what work they are doing with DSIT to tackle this problem.
I attended the Shared Rural Network Telecoms Surgery to speak with the Minister, senior officials from Building Digital UK and the Digital Infrastructure directorate of DSIT. I will be continuing discussions with the government about our local area.
Today, I introduced the Water Industry Act 1991 (Amendment) (Payment of Fines) Bill.
This Bill would prevent water companies, like Thames Water, from negotiating away fines.
The government must act to close loopholes in the current legislation.
I called the Prime Minister to end delayed fine payment plans for water companies.
Thames Water should not be allowed flexibility when paying back fines.
I hope to see these measures in the King’s Speech so that offences carry clear, timely, and enforceable consequences.
Visited Langtree School to see serious roof damage from crumbling concrete.
Parts are closed and classrooms moved to keep pupils and staff safe
Staff are doing all they can to keep things running. I’ve backed their bid for funding—there are few more important investments than our children’s futures

I’ve joined Lib Dem calls to stop US using UK bases, following deeply troubling pledge from Donald Trump that ‘an entire civilisation will die tonight’. UK must not be complicit in war crimes
Today I met MyVision Oxfordshire at Henley Library, a social group for those living with a visual impairment.
We discussed issues affecting visually impaired people, including navigating the streets and obstacles, as well as local transport connectivity challenges.
Great to visit The Burrow Café and The Berin Centre in Berinsfield last week.
Brilliant to see the Growing Minds Peeple Project and work with Home-Start Oxford supporting families. A fantastic example of community led early years support making a real difference.
Great to get out onto the doors in Shiplake, as well as deliver my annual report! A great turnout from local supporters
New figures show that in 2025, sewage was dumped into Wheatley ditch, for a shocking 1,124 hours by Thames Water
But these statistics only tell part of the story
They record how often & how long sewage is released, but not the volume, meaning the true scale of environmental damage remains unknown
I have secured a meeting with the Minister to discuss my amendment on better overseas voting provision. Let's make sure citizens abroad are not left behind.
Yesterday I joined colleagues and parish leaders at Downing Street to raise concerns about the “Greater Oxford” proposal.
The consultation closes tonight at 23:59. Please take a few minutes to have your say: consult.communities.gov.uk/local-govern...
It can’t go on. Water companies are being let off the hook by Ofwat. My request to the PM to ban water companies from negotiating away their fines for polluting our rivers 👇
I had the pleasure of meeting Shiplake College’s A-level Politics class to speak about my work as an MP in Parliament.
It was great to hear about the topics they are studying, including select committees, the whips, and the role of the two Houses in legislative scrutiny.
No elections in Henley and Thame this year, but I’m supporting Liberal Democrats across Oxfordshire to get more Lib Dem councillors elected that will work hard for their communities
TikTok, X, Meta and Google are failing to prevent misuse of their platforms.
I questioned their Policy Directors about banned users, instructions on how to create pornographic deepfakes and misinformation that remains on platforms.

I asked the Australian eSafety Commissioner, Julie Inman Grant, what steps they are taking to improve online safety and what powers they have to do so.
Ofcom must have the necessary resources to fully enforce the Online Safety Act.
I heard how companies and individuals use threatening letters and lawsuits to shut down campaigners and victims of crime.
We need to follow the EU’s lead with its EU anti-SLAPP directive.
The government needs to bring forward new anti-SLAPP laws in the kings speech.
