A huge motivation behind #PitBullFlowerPower was how devastating it felt to know so many of these dogs would die in shelters, unseen, forgotten, looked over because of their physical traits, the prejudices, bad intake notes or a crappy intake photo.
These photos were about dignity.

My fascination with dog collars reached new levels with this series of ceramic collars Iโve been working on. The series is called โThe End of Loveโ and offers a reflection on collars and the way we โloveโ our dogs. Collars can be both symbols of safety and care, and means of control and abuse.

The pottery studio has been my refuge these past months. Iโm working on a line of sacred objects inspired by our spiritual bond with dogs and my calling as an animal chaplain. ๐ค This vessel is inspired by the role of psychopomps dogs play in cosmologies around the world.

๐ letโs see how things go! Thank you!
Your dog is your spiritual guide. What has he taught you?
