I'm literally listening to Blue Lines as I scroll to this post. I don't think this day could get better.
In the last 20 years, the "two state solution" has been a discursive mechanism to convince people that
(1) this is a "conflict between neighbouring peoples" rather than between the state and dominated/colonised people within
(2) That there's a credible route towards partition, when there isn't one

This is how western mainstream media colludes with the illegal wars visited on our global neighbours, colludes with genocide in the case of Palestine.
It is an outrage! These 'free' news outlets, which thrive under a camouflage of 'respectibility' are gross, unapologetic right-wing state agencies.
By presenting 'marathon' US 'efforts' in these talks as unsuccessful, the blame is shifted squarely onto Iranian shoulders, even though it was the amateur US delegation which walked out. This will likely serve to justify a US escalation in their illegal war, or at least paves the way for one.
What is remarkable about this instance, is how simply we can see the propaganda at work (see above for some of the 'news' outlets, actually propaganda rags, singing from this hymn sheet). This is language repeated across borders to push a false narrative.
The two sides reportedly sat down and faced each other for less than 24 hours before the US withdrew. This is why the word 'marathon' is so widely used: this word is designed to make it seem like they made a real effort to make it work, when in fact, the complete opposite is true.

What Israel is doing to Lebanon is obscene, carpet bombing civilians, massacring people in their hundreds, total disregard for human life. Truly plumbing the depths of evil. The single greatest source of violence and instability in the region and it's not even close.
With all the reports today that 'peace talks' have collapsed because of Iran's refusal to 'give up' the development of nuclear weapons, it's worth remembering that this was always a false flag, as even US 'intelligence' confirmed... 🧵
And the thing is, none of this is/was inevitable. It’s happening because ‘the west’ is saying: “We will burn the fucking world to the ground rather than accept anything less than the total dominance to which we’ve become accustomed.” Other choices were available, just not to us, sadly.
This isn’t ‘news’. It’s a choreographed production. It’s tilling the soil of our collective conscious so we accept what’s coming (a significant worsening of our social contract, at the very least) as unavoidably imposed form without, rather than deliberately orchestrated from within.

There's no way we could switch to the planned economy you'd need to radically overhaul the country and radically rebuild the state capacity we spent decades destroying. Imagine trying to run a wartime economy when your primary goal is making sure venture capitalists can still profit from water.
