Not saying it won't happen tomorrow or the coming weeks. And tho they have jumped by a dollar since March. Gas prices in my area so far I might still be able to afford. So planning on helping set up an open mic tomorrow. A friend is taking me out for food for my birthday as well.
From May 16th-June 13th. Will be staying with my aunt, uncle, their family and friends of the family in Long Beach, California. Tho they only want me there a month at a time. There's a couple of other places I may be able to stay longer. If Ohio getting expensive. Go big i guess
I have most of my life lived in a rural small town. By the time i was 23 or 24, a lot of women my age already had kids. Some with their high school sweethearts. I did date a bit in high school and away in a college town. But been stuck with few options for a while. I want out ha.

If things get really expensive tomorrow or eventually. For sure now planning on getting back into astrophotography. Took a break for a bit. But a great hobby if not too much light pollution. And clear night skies.
No RSVPs so far. May get really cloudy. Buildings or trees may be in the way. Or things may get too expensive for people to show up even locally. But this Sunday and Monday. Supposed to be a really visible comet. Trying to get another star party together. Like back in November.

I never really been addicted to drugs of alcohol. Just wanted to clarify i wasn't drinking. But I get how it may have read. Yeah. Even when i am out with friends. I am always looking at my phone. But I started walking and bicycling a lot to reduce screen time..
Since 2024, been a sober regular at a night club. Mom and pop coffee shop. A Dunkin and a few other places. Just to get out and interact with people. But others and myself usually are on our phones. Haven't really had conversations lately either. Want to save money, too.

Hyped. For about a year i stopped losing weight despite walking the same amount I did for a year before (lost over 60 pounds from 2024-2025. But started to plateau about a year ago). But now bicycle riding more. Maybe changing up my workouts will help lose remaining excess pounds
Because of rising gas prices. Instead of driving around town today. Decided to bicycle ride. When it gets cold again, thinking of getting thermal clothes, an umbrella for my bicycle and winter tires.
Yeah. I am nervous about how the cost of living and about everything will likely get crazy expensive. Also nervous about society possibly collapsing (especially for the young, disabled, elderly and poor). But if we survive. Excited that collectively we build something better.
I can imagine LA is a great place for that!!!
So I wasn't in the house all day. Took a cruise around town. Saw a really cool camera rig shooting around St. Joe church. Talked to the cameramen. I knew there was film production going on in town. But got some questions answered about the camera rig and the TV show they are making!

-Locally, might have another telescope star party when that comet becomes really visible.

It's my birthday today. Turned 36.
Showed up at the county weekly open mic night tonight. While you can still play and write at any age. Lately been thinking personally it's the younger generation's turn (tho I am usually among the youngest singer-songwriters at 35-36 showing up. Both in SoCal and Ohio).
Today starts a 3 day celebration of my birthday. Tonight celebrating with my family and going to an open mic. Tomorrow on my actual birthday meeting some friends at Dennys. And the night after meeting friends who can't make it tomorrow for wings.

Just got my bicycle working today. Thinking going to be using it a lot this. And get thermal clothes and winter tires when it gets cold again. Maybe an umbrella for it as well. See if I can take it on intercity busses and trains as well. Or upgrade it to an ebike.
Been talking to people from Europe and the US about doing a zoom open mic. If things get too expensive to go out. Probably have the people in time zones hours ahead go first. So they don't have to perform overnight there while it's 5 or 6pm Pacific time for example.

One thing I am excited about visiting the Rose Park neighborhood of Long Beach in May and June: there's at least 3 music/comedy venues within walking distance. As well as the beach. Also I get along with the friends and family i am staying with. Just hope food/transit not insane.

Did so much yesterday/last evening on little sleep. Slept well last night. And fine just staying in listening to music and watching sports tonight. Can't always go out. But shouldn't always stay in. Find that balance of not going stir crazy. But not overstimulated either.
The Ohio intercity bus that drove me from my small town 1 hour to Toledo yesterday. Thinking, if gas prices get even more crazy expensive. Public transit will really be in demand
