Thank you to everyone who helped make our golf tournament a success and making our contributions to these amazing charitable organizations possible.
This is in addition to the $10K that our tournament raised for The Courtnall Society for Mental Health that we have requested be directed to HeadsUpGuys.
Today, on behalf of MoveUP and USW 2009, MoveUP President Annette Toth presented Scott Lunny, president of The Union Protein Project, with a cheque for $55,000 as the charitable proceeds from the 2025 Bob Derby Memorial Charity Golf Tournament.
MoveUP represents workers who work in the public transit industry, as well as members who work as taxi dispatchers.
Annette also called the taxi industry as an important partner, but not a replacement, for HandyDART services and this is an important partnership to continue with HandyDART back in public control.
Today, MoveUP President Annette Toth spoke at the TransLink Open Board meeting in support of the repatriation of HandyDART services back into public control. www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9me...
