One of the first fantasy books I ever read was "The Doom Brigade" by Margaret Weis & Don Perrin. I loved it so much as a kid that I wrote a few chapters of a sequel... I wanted more. I didn't realize until many years later a sequel already existed. I'll never forget how excited I was to find it.
