People in halls however would walk in late..

I lived the next town over from my university and so had to get the train. The train took about 35mins & 10 mins walk on the other end to get to uni. The station was 5 mins from my house.

Ergo I’d get up about 1 hour before a lecture and make it with 5 mins to spare to grab a coffee.

Sorry didn’t see this. It’s been called in so we simply await the Scottish ministers decision. However it goes tho it’s clear we need transport upgrades on the a82.

Definitely a case there of “I’ll look bad if I put 8:39 cos I get the 8:50 bus…er I’ll put 7! That sounds about right…”

Nonsense but what I could see is ai being used to take an already good game (with its massive development teams etc) and “upscale” the rendering so effectively taking 2010 graphics & making it photorealistic.

Politics in Scotland needs a shake-up.
But the answer is not capitulating to far-right policies and disinformation campaigns - it's independence. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 💛

I am delighted to announce I have been selected as the SNP candidate for Dumbarton. Thank you to the members who have put their trust in me. Now let's win this seat!

Westminster has just voted to block Scotland from having control over migration policy.

The Scottish Parliament has been calling for a migration policy which meets Scotland’s needs - but Westminster said no.

Scottish Labour MSPs had the chance to stand up for disabled people. They chose to stand with Westminster instead.

By refusing to condemn Keir Starmer’s brutal disability benefit cuts, they sided with cruelty over compassion.

Happy St. George’s Day to all, especially to my fellow English Scots within the SNP and wider independence movement. #StGeorgesDay

And by “talk” I of course mean “scaremonger”.
If I’m selected as our candidate and duly elected I would see firming up those plans as a v important part of my role - but I’m equally (as someone who was in the reserves) wanting to support current personnel with their housing, schools & other problems

11 months ago 1 0 1 0

I agree we need to flesh out the specifics, but we’re also in danger of feeding Labour’s narrative. They’ll do anything to talk about hypothetical plans for the base after Indy, than current funding problems caused by them in London, or bad decisions by their councils in Scotland etc.

Well, I’m one of the two possible candidates for Dumbarton constituency (which includes Helensburgh & faslane); the party’s view hasn’t changed. Post-Indy, the bases will likely need enlarged to become the joint defence forces HQ for Scotland. That’ll mean more local jobs.

91 years ago @snp.org was founded, and since we came into Government, every home in Scotland has benefited from SNP policies, such as… 1/

Journalists shouldn’t be chummy with me to get access or get me “on side” & shouldn’t let me do the same; it’s not our jobs.

My job is to win votes and use that mandate to deliver for my electorate and make the constituency/country better.

A journo’s job is to hold me to account & tell the truth.

1 year ago 1 0 0 0

I’d agree. We all try to get journos on side; I have several I would call friends - but I’d be disappointed in them if they were to interview me and gave me an easy ride.

An email from a journalist sets my pulse racing and gives me the fear. Not a lot but a little and that’s how it should be.

I’m unaware of anyone else putting their name forward, but there are still a couple of weeks to go before the nominations close. If there is a contest, I’d ask all SNP members in Helensburgh & Dumbarton to choose me as our candidate to win this seat for the SNP. #DoTheMath

👏 well done to The SNP for delivering free tuition and increasingly inclusive university-level education to Scotland's citizens, despite the chains of Westminster.

Imagine if we had all the powers.

But only if we work, work, work to earn those votes.

If selected as our SNP candidate for #dumbarton I will do just that. We *must* win this seat.

I’d hope people see the big picture etc, but I’m not willing to lie just to get elected.

1 year ago 1 0 1 0

I think that when Scotland becomes independent, we should not be a nuclear power. How that transition is managed is up to others.

I think Faslane & Coulport will need enlarged to make the HQ for the Scottish defence forces. I think we will need to prioritise a surface capability urgently.
