“Working harder” in a system that favours the wealthy, enriched them further and feeds into society being more ultra capitalistic, as those who hoard wealth are not contributing more to the wellbeing of the workforce, yet the workforce are working multiple jobs just to be “ok”

As a Brit living in the US, I see the country as ultra capitalist, but also ultra individualistic. People are happy maintaining the status quo as long as they are “ok”, not only that, but those who are suffering believe they simply need to work harder to be “ok” as well, when it’s more nuanced.
