We have to define 'high stakes' if we hope to lower them We won't come up with effective policy solutions if we don't clearly set out the problem

Adolescence: Five truths about our teenage boys we need to address urgently In Ireland, masculinity is at a crossroads. We are in the process of rejecting the harmful ideas of the past but are feeling our way slowly and uncertainly forward

An excellent read. So many key points. Altho from rhe Irish perspective, it's absolutely relevant to boys nationally just now.

A must read 👇🏽

He did. I’ve been banging on about counterproductive efficiency drives and their relationship to reduced teacher self-efficacy and job satisfaction. His thoughtfulness in exploring purpose is super-helpful.

I’ve been genuinely shocked by the resurgence and casual usage of homophobic language over the past couple of years. Given that my baseline for comparison is Ireland in the 1980s, that’s quite a threshold.
Contrary to popular opinion, this is a really tough time to be an LGBT+ child/young person.

The hallmark of an open mind is refusing to let your ideas become your identity.

If you define yourself by your opinions, questioning them is a threat to your integrity.

If you see yourself as a curious person or a lifelong learner, changing your mind is a moment of growth.

Shout out to the team at my twin daughters' pre-school who put on the most amazing nativity play and really helped my girl achieve something amazing. As an SEN parent I have unending gratitude for their patience, encouragement and faith. 🙏
