Screenshot showing the directory of the Microsoft Copilot app located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Copilot\Application, it's entirely based off the Microsoft Edge browser that's based off the Google Chromium source.
You may have seen apps built with Electron or Microsoft Edge WebView2.
But... have you seen an app that's just entirely based off the Microsoft Edge Chromium web browser?
That's some crazy work lol.
a YouTube thumbnail featuring the install disc for Virtual PC for Mac version 7. It has been modified to have the PowerPC logo on it. To the left is the Windows XP logo. Above the disc is the menu bar from Mac OS X, and text that reads "Windows on Mac!"
New video! Today we're exploring an old version of Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac. Back before Apple's transition to Intel processors, this program provided a convenient way to emulate an x86 system for running Windows-only software. But was it any good? Let's find out!

So Linux gets games after all then, lol
Window dialog that says Everything is not responding. Hang on while Windows reports the problem to Microsoft...
Screenshot of the Firefox web browser fork running under Windows Vista SP2, it uses the Nightly branding and it's currently based off version 147.
Mozilla recently dropped support for Firefox 115 ESR, last version to work under Windows 7 and 8.x.
If you need to still use Firefox in Win7/8...
This Firefox fork brings support of modern Firefox versions to Windows 7 and 8.x, including Windows Vista!

what are the odds
Tweet from MissSuperUser (halliementos) on the bird app showing the difference between actual old interface designs and "so y2k frutiger aero" ones. Actual old interface designs: - Literal eye candy - Looks very pretty - Lovely to look at " so y2k frutiger aero!!!1" - 500 random tech shit from 2000's slapped - overstimulating - very inconsistent as shit - most likely never grew up with old tech
The old YouTube "Broadcast Yourself" logo.
On this day in 2005, the YouTube.com domain was registered.
Windows NT post 5.0 WITH 2000 styled boot screens

v1.116 is rolling out now!
For all the overthinkers and perfectionists out there,Β we're launching Drafts.
To be clear, we are not discontinuing or removing access to Adobe Animate and it will continue to be available to both existing and new customers.
To everyone who told me writing letters, open letters, and tagging Adobe wouldn't work, I would like you to see this.
Adobe is reversing course on their decision to discontinue Animate. When enough people complain, usually progress gets made. The pen is mighty!
Windows Media Player on Windows XP
BitLocker Drive encryption dialog says BitLocker Drive Encryption detected bootable media (CD or DVD) in the computer. Remove the media and restart the computer before configuring BitLocker.
TIL BitLocker hates optical media. πΏπ’
Lenovo's Manual Driver List in the Software and Utilities category. a YouTube thumbnail featuring the Intel prototype tablet PC, with the Windows XP boot screen displayed. To the right is the Intel logo.
New video! Here's a bit of a retro tech oddity. This prototype tablet PC was developed by Intel back in 2006, and was an engineering sample for the Ultra-Mobile PC standard. Which makes this one of the earliest UMPCs around!

and youtube still wonders why we use adblockers now
An ad at the top of YouTube algorithm making a claim about the poor state of the viewer's QR code scanner, with a visibly fake update and skip button - both would send the viewer to a page for unnecessary/suspicious software.
There was a time about 20 years ago where lying, annoying and sometimes dangerous ads like this were only seen much on seedy third-party sites & random blogs, instead of being featured at the top of YouTube app with priority as common practice. The intolerance for this sort of manipulation has gone.

Windows 98: Flying Windows
As we enter the New Year remember fear of making bad art is holding you back. Fear of people not liking your work is holding you back. Rejection is holding you back
You'll make bad art, you'll have people not like your work, and you'll be rejected. Moving past it is half the job of being a creative
Has any Change dot org petition really gone through?
But in seriousness, if Microsoft were to revive the Windows Mobile/Phone platform with the Windows 11 codebase, there would be a lot more complaints such as forced A.I. and many other things.
Windows Phone would die again. πͺ¦
