So, instead of her daughter going to whatever Ivy League they buy her into, she's going to get married right out of high school and start a family, right? Right?!?

I give my parents a lot of shit for how much shame they made me feel but then when stuff like this happens I’m really happy that I can feel shame because I would run my car in the garage with the door down before I did this.

So, Scent of a Woman is just a story about a man traumatizing a child for three days, huh?

Do normies go to Coachella anymore or is it just like an influencer convention type thing now?

She is correct. I also get these vibes, too. Basically, he's just a combination of Jane Austen's worst characters.

Ok, this is obviously a joke, but I would pay a not insignificant amount of money for that Trader Joe's "top", I'm just saying.

Every day I am more and more grateful that I experienced Capitol Hill as a child and not as an adult, because the adult version seems fucking disgusting.

I mean, Merriam-Webster defines a sitcom as "a television series that involves a continuing cast of characters in a succession of comedic circumstances" - so Columbo and Dog AND ALSO the fact that he's arrested the same person that's a different person many times over is objectively hilarious.

If anyone cares, the best and easiest way to improve k-12 education is smaller class sizes. Are there other things that need to improvement? Yes. Is this where we should start? Yes. When districts ask us what we need, do they say "but don't say smaller class sizes"? Yes.

Don't taco Tuesday this shit. Millions of people spent the day wondering if they would get vaporized, and no one in our government stood up to him. Nothing cutesy about it.

I'm a kindergarten teacher and instead of whatever this garbage is, I'd like resources and a fair wage to do my job. One that I am fully capable of doing. Thanks!

I follow this (www.instagram.com/hellodimeji?...) account on instagram and it's this man who rides around on a bike with his small child and it's lovely, if anyone needs to see something that doesn't make you want to claw your eyes out.

You know when you play the lottery and for like 12 hours it's an actual possibility that you could win. You probably won't, but it theoretically COULD happen. And it's sort of fun, thinking of what you'd do *if* it did happen. Anyway, just thinking about that right now for no particular reason.

It feels like when we have people in charge that very obviously do not have the country's best interest at heart but we are unable to do anything about it in a timely manner - that's bad? Am I reading the situation correctly? Like this feels like not a functional system if that's the case!

The technological advancement that I miss most is when the autocorrect on your iphone actually worked and autocorrected to the correct word or at least a real word. That was good.

I did NOT feel confident I could fill out a map of the United States. I still feel that way today.

In 1989 I cheated on my 4th grade US States test where we just had to fill in the states and I forgot to fill in Oklahoma on the cheat one which is low key embarrassing bc it's like the only state you can be sure of and I think about it all the time.

This just shows my inability to rate anything in a meaningful way, because even if it's a bad movie and I'm aware it's probably bad, but I liked it, I am fully going to 4 star that bitch. Like, thank you for entertaining me, even though my heart is dead. Please take these stars as a show of thanks.

This Is Not a Review of The Drama — Crooked Marquee The veil of secrecy around the new Zandaya/Robert Pattinson vehicle raises the question: can you talk about a movie without talking about what it’s about?

Rather than pursue either of the unfortunate options for reviewing THE DRAMA, I wrote about spoiler culture, the outsized role of marketing, and access journalism (and criticism) in contemporary moviemaking.

Might be self-indulgent but it's important to me!

Woolgathering is another one! I'm realizing this is just me admitting to the world that I read too many novels set in Victorian times, but OH WELL.
