"...Scrote had a lot of outskirts, spread so widely -a busted cart here, a dead dog there - that often people went through it without even knowing it was there, and really it only appeared on the maps because cartographers get embarrassed about big empty spaces."

#Bikesky I am thinking about getting a Smart Helmet for visibility and ease of turn signals. I am looking at Unit 1 Aura. My commute is 2 hours via bike or public transportation so being able to ride sounds like a better option for the warmer months.

Any insights regarding a smart helmet?

#GISChat AGOL Pet Peeves: I would like to select the attributes I want to see when looking at the content in my AGOL account. Modified date is useful but not always relevant. I would just liked to be able to change that attribute from Modified to Created Date.

#GISChat is anyone using ArcGIS Online and Enterprise for their SEOC/State Fusion Center? I have some questions about my current work around deploying it and would love to hear from similar people in this Emergency Management space.

Unpopular Opinion: If you are sharing datasets with people outside of your organization. You need to include metadata FULL STOP. If that data is available on an open data portal... You need metadata.

Ten toes down. You need metadata.

It is all good. I'll take everything, I just wanted to share it with the wider GIS community.

Anytime I am preparing to send an email to a GIS team to introduce myself, there's a scene from the second Wreck it Ralph movie that plays in my head when Penelope ends up in the princess suite.

Like, I am a GIS Analyst Too! And then have to defend against questions around data quality #GISChat

#GISChat Rachel's Adventures in Mapping:

I went to a local bookstore to meet with a community member. I got to the bookstore early and did some browsing and found the first photo upon immediately walking in. Then the owner comes over and hands me the second book and says Map Girl you need this.

#GISChat AGOL Update, included info about enabling time based layer visibility, according to the write up, it sounds like they mean ANY layer. it would be so cool to be able to turn on a layer at 12pm MTN and then have it turn off 12pm MTN tomorrow even if it didn't have time in the attributes
